StageCalls Children’s Theatre School in Exmouth is a part-time drama
and performance arts school for 3–18 year olds who live in East Devon.
Established in 1997, we offer personal tuition in the key theatre
disciplines of Drama, Dance and Singing. A number of our students have
gone on to appear in professional television and theatre productions.
Other activities include holiday courses, professional drama workshops,
theatre trips (including backstage tours), and theatrical makeup courses.
We’re a drama school in Exmouth, but we do more than just nurture and
develop children’s acting potential. We use the performing arts to help
children boost their self-confidence and develop their skills in
communication, creativity and team-building … all essential life skills that
lead to positive human qualities.
Our students of all ages derive a real sense of personal achievement
and fulfilment from creating and appearing in stage productions of plays,
dance theatre projects and musicals at the end of each term. These
performances for family and friends are usually staged at venues such
as the Barnfield Theatre in Exeter.
Our students are also frequently invited to perform at Devon arts
festivals. And we often stage productions in aid of children’s charities
such UNICEF.
Over 90% success rate
StageCalls students are able to train for internationally recognised
diplomas in Speech and Drama through our long-standing association
with the world-famous London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art
term.
The quality of our drama, speech and performance arts training is
reflected in our impressive success rate in LAMDA exams.
Over 90% of our students consistently achieve Merit or
Distinction grades.
Children don’t have to audition to join StageCalls.
Everyone is welcome and all children are given the same opportunity.
Although we typically have over 100 students, everyone is taught in
small groups made up of children of a similar age.
All that’s needed is an enthusiasm for performing … and a desire to
have fun with new friends who all share the same interests.
